What is an Aluminum / Titan Dock?
One of our premium stationary dock packages, Aluminum / Titan Docks from Tommy Docks are complete with a high-quality, rust-resistant aluminum frame and either aluminum decking or our innovative, 100% polypropylene Titan Decking. Both options are built to last, with protection against stains, rot, and moisture damage as well as temperature defense for durability and fade resistance.
All of our stationary docks are designed for expansion, and their simple assembly allows for add-ons and other customized dock solutions.
How to Build an Aluminum Dock
Tommy Docks offers three types of stationary docks- cedar, composite, and aluminum. For each of these materials, there are docks in a range of sizes and colors to offer sturdy support for many different waterfront property needs, including location, water depth, and weight capacity.
The assembly process is the same for each of the four stationary dock configurations that Tommy Docks offers:
-Straight Docks (1-2 sections)
-T-Shaped Docks (2-5 sections)
-L-Shaped Docks (2-3 sections)
-Platform Docks (3-5 sections)

Aluminum materials can absorb heat very well, so they can heat up when the weather warms up and the sun comes out. However, with the proper materials, aluminum docks can feel cool to the touch. With both our heat-resistant aluminum dock sections and our Titan Decking, Tommy Docks aims to prioritize safety so you can focus on enjoying your aluminum dock.
At Tommy Docks, we pride ourselves on our docks being easy to assemble and maintain. Most of our Aluminum / Titan Dock Kits come with only a few materials, including:

The exact number and type of parts will depend on the particular product being purchased. For some models and waterfronts, we recommend using additional Tommy Docks products during installation, such as the Auger Wrench and the Winch Leveling System.
Stationary Docks
Stationary docks are fixed structures anchored to the lake or river bottom with supports, providing stable, consistent access in calm waters. They are durable and built to withstand heavy loads and harsh weather, making them ideal for shallow or stable water conditions. However, their installation is more complex, sometimes requiring professional assistance, and they may need occasional maintenance to ensure the pilings remain secure.
Floating Docks
Floating docks rest on the water's surface and adapt to changing water levels, making them suitable for areas with fluctuating depths or tides. They are easier to install and can be reconfigured or moved as needed. While generally low-maintenance, floating docks require regular checks to ensure their anchoring systems are secure and the floating components are in good condition.
