Make the Most of Your Waterfront

You bought a lakefront property for a reason. With a lake dock, your group gets easy access to the water for morning fishing, afternoon swims, evening drinks while the sun goes down, and everything in between.

With a modular dock system, you're not hiring contractors or waiting weeks for a custom build. You're choosing a setup that fits your shoreline, assembling it yourself, and using it that same weekend.

Our modular dock systems are designed to meet your property needs and change if they do.

Our Dock Types

Floating Docks

Rise and fall with the water, making them ideal for deeper lakes, changing water levels, or soft lake beds. This dock system will have no posts in the ground.

Stationary Docks

Posts anchor to the lake bed for a rock-solid foundation. Best for shallower water with consistent levels—set it up and forget about it.

Build A Dock That Works For You

With different options for the layout, decking and accessories, you can easily build the best dock for you. Add a swim platform for the kids. Tie up the pontoon. Set up chairs and stay out until the sun drops.

For layouts, choose between straight, L-shaped or T-shaped based on the amount of dock space needed or for boat slips.

For the decking, we have cedar, composite, and aluminum options. Then, add what you need: ladders, cleats, bumpers, gangways. Every Tommy Docks product connects seamlessly and can be swapped out or expanded on later. It’s your dock, set it up how it works for you.

Why Tommy Docks

We've been doing this since 1987. Every dock system is American-made, built with marine-grade materials, and designed so you can install it yourself with no cutting, no contractor, and no headache.

With over 750 five-star reviews, we’re confident enough to say that your new dock will keep you on the water. Call us and talk to our team if you’d like help with a final decision.

Frequently Asked Questions

Measure your watercraft and add at least 4 feet per side for walk-around space. For swimming and lounging, consider how many people you'll have out there at once. You can always add sections later.

Stationary docks work best in shallower, calmer water with stable levels. Floating docks handle deeper water, fluctuating levels, and natural lake beds. Not sure? Give us a call.

You can’t go wrong. The cedar looks great and feels good barefoot, and the composite and Titan options are a low-maintenance decking option. All options hold up well in freshwater, it comes down to the look and upkeep you are looking for.

Yes, no dock construction project needed. Our systems are built for DIY assembly with no cutting required. A weekend, basic tools, and a helping hand is all you need.

A dock permit is required on most water bodies, especially for private docks. Check with your local zoning office or lake association for further information before ordering.

Ladders and cleats are the basics. Bumpers protect your boat against the dock, and gangways smooth out the shore-to-dock transition. Add what makes sense for you and your dock guests now, you can always add an addition later.
